The human body is perfect, but few people understand that it is so smart that it can warn of impending disaster with any organ, including the heart. It sends signals that people don't notice and this can end in disease at best, tragedy at worst.

Cardiologist Anna Korenevich named the unusual harbingers of a heart attack, which most people do not associate with the heart, but attribute it to fatigue and heartburn.

chest discomfort

The cardiologist calls chest discomfort a strange sign of a harbinger of a heart attack. For some reason, people think that only sharp pain or numbness or difficulty breathing can be signals of a heart attack.

But the discomfort in the chest is not expressed so clearly that they pay attention to it. Meanwhile, burning, heaviness, tightness in the chest are signals that something is happening to the heart. If these signs appear during physical exertion, walking, climbing stairs (even up to the 3rd floor) - this is a serious reason to contact a cardiologist.

It is true that the burning sensation and shortness of breath quickly pass when a person lies down for a while, but there is no guarantee that, for example, the next climb to the desired floor will be easy and without consequences.

“Once you have it, especially if you're a 40+ male, emotional, nervous, working a lot, hyper-responsible and still smoke and exercise a little, then you're 100 percent a cardiologist's patient. Therefore, it is necessary to immediately react (to this symptom) and go to a doctor, so that it does not develop into a coronary accident and death later, said Anna Korenevich.

Since early morning

Often these harbingers appear in people even if there has been no physical activity, on the contrary, the heaviness and burning sensation can appear early in the morning when a person is still sleeping. For example, a person may wake up suddenly at 5 or 6 in the morning and can no longer fall asleep because some discomfort prevents him. People say that this condition is similar to heartburn and lasts for five to 15 minutes.

And then suddenly it disappears. Therefore, many people forget about the discomfort and do not consult a doctor, although this is also a signal that cannot be ignored, noted the expert.

Give up cigarettes and beer

From his extensive experience interacting with patients, Korenevich learned about another unusual harbinger of a heart attack that is not in the textbooks. Six months to a year before a heart attack, about half of her patients (40%) unexpectedly quit smoking and drinking.

"The body already knows that there is a problem, and says:" Stop poisoning yourself, "the cardiologist is convinced. But despite the fact that patients have given up addictions, they still cannot avoid a heart attack. Korenevich is convinced that this happens because one refusal of alcohol and tobacco is not enough, since the prevention of a heart attack depends on many factors.
