New research gives hope to colon cancer patients. According to the study, patients can increase the probability of survival just by slightly changing their menu

The study was conducted among 826 patients with colon cancer in the third stages. It is then that the disease begins to spread throughout the body.

Consumption of nuts every week increased the survival chances of bowel cancer patients by 57% compared to those who did not. Adding nuts to the diet of people who are in remission has also been found to reduce the likelihood of the cancer returning.

Scientists from Yale University have come to a similar conclusion. They found that cancer patients who consumed nuts had a 46% increased chance of survival compared to those who did not.

It should be noted that these are nuts that grow on a tree. These include almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, etc. In contrast, peanuts are classified as a legume.

Scientists even determined a weekly dose - just two handfuls of nuts. The reason for this effect, according to American scientists, lies in the fact that nuts lead to less sugar in the blood and increase the body's resistance to the development of malignant tumors.
