Many people can confidently say that teeth should be brushed at least twice a day - morning and evening. But dentists from Great Britain made an unexpected claim that this is not the case.

According to a new study by the British Dental Association, you don't need to rush to brush your teeth right after waking up or having breakfast. If the teeth are cleaned before the morning meal, they will become more susceptible to the action of the components that destroy the enamel.

If you brush your teeth after breakfast, it can harm them to a great extent, since in this case the impact on the teeth is stronger. It is a fact that foods and drinks with a high acid content are consumed at breakfast. If the teeth are exposed to it and then you start vigorously scrubbing the tooth enamel with the brush, it has almost no chance to survive.

Scientists recommend waiting at least an hour after breakfast, and only then brushing your teeth. But it is best to carry out full oral hygiene procedures in the afternoon and before going to bed.

Experts also say that immediately after brushing your teeth, you don't need to use mouthwash. According to them, a shine preparation with the remnants of toothpaste is too strong a test of the strength of tooth enamel.
