Nowadays, fashion has entered our lives so much that we wear anything just to keep up with it. That is why in time it may turn out that we have actually harmed ourselves without even suspecting it
For example, one of the most common mistakes we make is getting fashionable but uncomfortable shoes. And wearing them for a long time damages not only our feet, but also our gait and posture.
That's when we think of orthopedic shoes. In the sea of possibilities that the market offers, however, we could make mistakes there too.
Expert Irina Katenina indicated the basic rules for choosing orthopedic shoes. According to the specialist, not all options meet the requirements for maintaining the he alth of the feet.
The main indicators of shoes that do not damage the foot when worn are:
finger shape: rounded, repeats the shape of the fingers, does not squeeze them and does not make them overlap each other.
toe height: there should be some space in the toe area that allows you to move your toes up and down freely and comfortably.
difference in the level between the toes and the heel: the difference should be between two and three centimeters (therefore, ballet flats are not suitable shoes).
At the same time, the expert drew attention to the fact that such criteria can also be met by shoes that the manufacturer does not present as orthopedic, and vice versa: often, for anatomically correct shoes, the seller can present products in which these rules are partially or completely not followed.
