For the second year in a row, the graduates of the II English High School "Thomas Jefferson" - Sofia are inviting their peers to participate in the "Fair of Kindness" charity campaign - 2015. This year the initiative is dedicated to children suffering from cystic fibrosis.

"Kindness Fair" is a campaign in which school dismissal day outfits are replaced by white t-shirts, and the funds raised support those suffering from a selected rare genetic disease. Last year, twelfth graders from several schools in the capital and Plovdiv chose to support children with the rare disease epidermolysis bullosa.

This initiative, in addition to collecting funds, aims to direct public and responsible institutions' attention to the problems and needs of people with rare diseases and to help solve them, as well as to ensure a better quality and dignified life of the sick.

Cystic fibrosis is the most common genetic, hereditary, life-shortening disease in which a thick, stringy secretion forms that clogs the lungs, pancreas, and other organs and systems in the body. People with this disease need daily inhalations, rehabilitation and frequent hospital stays. The average life expectancy of patients with cystic fibrosis in Bulgaria is short - this is school age - 12-13 years. Worldwide, the average survival rate of cystic fibrosis patients is over 40 years.

The first initiative in connection with the campaign is already a fact - "Kindness Fair" - 2015 thanks PGHT "Acad. Nedelcho Nedelchev" - Sliven for the organized and held culinary bazaar in support of the campaign and cystic fibrosis patients in Bulgaria.

The bank account for donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Association is BG20UBBS80021055424015 (basis for transfer: Kindness Fair).
