Two years ago I was first told I had cystitis. Since then, I have been prescribed all kinds of medicines, but without any effect - for a short time the symptoms become weaker, but then they return again. I'm desperate, and that's why I decided to write to you, asking you to recommend folk remedies to fight cystitis.

Perhaps everyone at least once in his life has tried to treat himself with folk medicine methods. For example, raspberry or garlic tea for a cold, boiled egg for barley, eucalyptus oil for a cough. Even doctors sometimes recommend these ways because sometimes they are really effective and safe. However, many diseases, including cystitis, cannot be cured by folk remedies. On the Internet, as well as among friends or by word of mouth, recipes for the treatment of cystitis using hot baths, diuretic teas, infusions of tansy and even warm beer are passed on. But even the safest non-traditional methods of treatment can only help you get rid of the signs of inflammation, relieve the symptoms, but not cure the disease. As a result, cystitis becomes chronic. And if you believed the recipes with urological tea or warm beer, you may cause complications that have an extremely negative effect on the kidneys.

Cystitis Treatment

Cystitis must be treated comprehensively. First and foremost, the doctor prescribes an antibiotic for the body to deal with the cause of the inflammation - most often these are microorganisms that are usually found in the intestines and are involved in digestion. Getting into the bladder, bacteria multiply actively, an inflammatory process develops, unpleasant symptoms appear. The course of antibiotic treatment should last 5-7 days, depending on the type of drug prescribed. To alleviate the patient's condition, doctors also prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs based on natural plant extracts. They normalize urination, relieve symptoms of inflammation, have antispasmodic and antimicrobial effects. Timely treatment gives a noticeable result: 2-3 days after starting to take an antibiotic, most of the symptoms of cystitis pass. However, to completely cure the infection, the course of treatment should be continued as prescribed by the doctor.

Cystitis prevention

Using folk recipes for the prevention of cystitis is sometimes no less dangerous. For example, long-term use of tinctures that have a diuretic effect, increase the load on the kidneys, which leads to dehydration of the body, stimulate thirst. If you want to protect yourself as much as possible from cystitis, strictly follow all hygiene rules, dress according to the weather and have regular examinations. Attention to your body is the main condition for the successful prevention of cystitis.
